Washed, picked, carded and handspun by Fiberdog Fibers

This truly special yarn comes from a sheep named "Wicked Smart" at Digging Dog Farm in Virginia.

I decided to showcase the lovely natural color of the wool and did not dye this at all. Sheep offer so much variation in color and I feel sometimes we need to be reminded of that. Too many breeds went extinct or almost extinct simply because they did not produce white wool.

Processing this was nothing but pure joy and to let you see at least part of that, I included a picture of the different stages before it became yarn (raw fleece on the right, on the left from bottom to top: washed, picked, carded and braided).
